Promoting PE100 Pipe in trenchless technology at Trenchless Asia 2024

The Trenchless Asia 2024 conference and exhibition was organized by Westrade Group , supported by the International Society for Trenchless Technology and held at the World Trade Centre Metro Manila, Philippines on the 16^th-17^th July.  

Zhao Qihui, Jinsung Kim, Eunjin Park of Hanhwa Totalenergies Petrochemical,  Pon Nusitchaikarn of SCG Chemicals Limited and Kang Peck Tze of Borouge represented the association at the event.

There was good sharing with the trade visitors on benefits of using PE100+ positive list readymade compound solutions.

The event recorded an impressive attendance of 2000 visitors and over 1000 conference attendees. Keynote presentations were delivered by Metropolitan Waterworks & Sewerage Systems Regulatory Office and Maynilad Water which highlighted the adoption of trenchless technology towards sustainable development and trenchless opportunities and future projects in Manila.

Peck Tze gave a presentation on “The use of PE100+ Materials in Trenchless Technology Applications” which covered:

•         A brief introduction to the association

•         The trenchless techniques that use PE pipes and liners

•         Provided an introduction to EN ISO 11295 and EN ISO 21225 families of trenchless standards;

•         Discussed revisions being implemented in the EN and ISO pipe system standards; and

•         Explained how the PE100+ online No-Dig Technical Guide was being updated.

As a viable solution for trenchless installation used successfully in many projects, PE100+ Association is pleased to be part of journey with the City of Manila to improve its infrastructure, enhance the quality of life for its residents, and position itself as a leader in infrastructure development in the Asia region.
