On Sept. 21-22, the 4th China International Plastics Pipe Conference was successfully held in Shanghai, co-organized by PPCA (Plastics Pipe Conference Association) and CPPA (China Plastics Pipe Association). There were more than 360 participants and 28 domestic & overseas speakers covering the whole value chain of plastics pipe industry in China. This conference was “spin off conference” of PPC XVII in 2014, Chicago. The concept of “spin off conference” was initiated by previous president of PE100+, Mr. Robin Bresser and a general secretary of CPPA, Mr. Wang ZhanJie, in 2008. Now it has become the “Golden Bridge” between China and the world to communicate about advanced technology and how to realize sustainable development with plastics pipe industry.
Consequently, another important event, “PE Gas Pipe Application & Safety Conference”, was held at Suzhou, which is closed to Shanghai as the most developed area in China. The event organizers are “China Gas Association”, and “China Plastics Pipe Association”; hosted by “G-Tech”, who is a plastics pipe & fitting maker owned by Hong Kong & China Gas. The 13 presentations are related to PE gas pipeline quality control & safely operation, and attracted over 200 delegates. Mr. Pierre Belloir, President of PE100+, introduced the PE100+ Association, including its mission, global activities/events, and innovation projects to create trust in high quality PE pipes. At present, the material list on website of PE100+ has been the reference for material selection by end users in China.
