Producing PVC is a competitive market. Unless special products are produced like larger sizes or OPVC, the competiveness is important. Therefore the real issue becomes the saving of cost in producing pipe from PVC. There are many ways of saving costs and that issue must be considered in production companies making pipe from PVC. The issue of saving costs is based on two major components: the cost price of the PVC pipe and the OEE, the OverallEquipment Effectiveness.
The cost price of the pipe can easily be influenced in different ways, for both solutions pressure pipe and pressure less pipe. Alternatives in pipe dimensions, within the standards, are possible to choose next to filling components. The way how to lower the cost price is based on sustainable solutions, using less material, using less energy and, to be launched more open in the USA, to use more recycled material.
The OEE of an installation for making PVC pipe is lowering the losses in a PVC production line. An easy way of how to decrease losses and to increase the earnings in producing PVC pipe is to optimize factors like the availability of the PVC pipe production line, the performance of the PVC pipe production line and the quality of the products produced on that PVC pipe production line. Conclusion: making the PVC production line as effective as possible thus using the investment as effective as possible.

In PPXX, a technology was presented for the first time that could bi-axially orient polyolefin pipes. With this technology, it is possible to prepare pipes that have a performance far beyond the standard ones. One approach to achieving this performance is via a continuous in-line process. To optimize the in-line...
