It is essential to use good quality PE compounds to make good quality pipes and fittings. The PE100+ Association publishes a list of PE100 quality materials. The Association also actively promotes the correct use and installation of PE pipes, and the PE Pipe Model available in its web site gives useful reference to the designers, installers and end users.
