PE technical guidance
HDPE Pipe technical guidance (High quality Polyethylene Pipes)

Is PE pipe resistant to chemicals commonly found in soils?

Quick access

PE100 and PE100-RC pipes have excellent resistance to naturally occurring chemicals found in the soil. The polymer and pipe manufacturers have extensive test data regarding the chemical resistance of the base polymer and PE100 pipe. Advice can be sought if there is any doubt as to the suitability of PE100 for a particular application or environment.

ISO Technical Report 10358 includes an authoritative table identifying the resistance of PE, and other plastic materials, to a large range of chemicals.
