Applying fiber-reinforced plastics to pipes can be effective to form pipes which are light, thin and high strength. Basically, the forming process of thermo plastics consists of melting and cooling. Compared to the forming time of thermoset plastics (FRP), it’s easy to fuse. Therefore, applying fiber-reinforced thermo plastics (FRTP) on pipes can be effective to make the forming time short. In this study, prepreg materials were used for improving the impregnated property. Addition to this, the braided FRTP prepreg materials were examined to be applied to the curved parts (elbow, etc.). This paper will describe the pipe made of braided FRTP prepreg materials.
