Recycling Pipe and Profile Scrap

Standardisation, Certification & Recycling

Plastic Pipes Conference Association # 1992 Eindhoven

Ziebell

It is unavoidable that rejects and scrap of a significant value occur during the extruding process of plastic pipes and profiles. This has been recognized by the manufacturers, and these days there is hardly an extruding company that does not see its production scrap, an amount between two and five percent, as a valuable material and recycle it. Window frame profiles from renovation work and pipes taken from the earth will create a further problem and increased volume for recycling, in the near future. Manufacturers of virgin material and producers of retail items expect the introduction of obligatory return, also for plastic pipes and profiles.
