Harnessing Technology to Deliver Real Value

This paper discusses the important role that technology continues to play in addressing the challenges faced by the energy industry and the natural gas industry in particular. It also highlights how the changing structure of the industry is having an impact on the way technology development needs are being met. The development of polyethylene pipes and the associated technological advances that have been critical to the development of the gas industry are summarised. Finally, new developments that will enable technology to be harnessed to deliver real value in future are discussed.
